| Top five books, what are your top five favorite books | | I love to read and I am sure there are loads of other out there that also love to read. I am always interested to hear what people favourite books are. i always find out about a book I hadn't heard of that is worth adding to my list of what to read. Here are some of my favourites
Pride and Predjudice
Nine Teen Eighty Four
Harry Potter series
Brave New WorldTo to get the topice going
| | Do you tackle "one word" tasks? | | I've noticed a lot of MyLot writing tasks just lately, where the topic is a single word or phrase (latest are "remodelling" and "top books.") There are no keywords which means we have a big empty canvas to write upon.I must admit, I've been avoiding these! I like to have keywords so i know what direction I'm supposed to be heading in. It doesn't help that MyLot use the same template for all their tasks. ("Your content will be used in a site about Remodelling, so please don't ...")Top books is easy enough, but remodelling ... remodelling what?! Google Remodelling, and you get home decor for the first 3 pages, so I guess that's what I'll ... damn. too late, someone else has taken it.Do you tackle these one word tasks? How do you approach them? | |
| | Parenting Books | | So, I've had this site for over 5 years now... www.parentingbooks.org
I haven't really had time to keep it updated over the past couple years, until recently. Here is my question... what are the top books you recommend to other parents, or expecting parents? I'm looking to build a list of really good books to rotate on my homepage. What issues do you like to read about? I'm also going to be weeding out my article section, to get rid of the outdated/obsolete... so I need some ideas for new articles to write. My old website was very 2-dimensional, so I'm working to make this a web 2.0 type website. Without trying to be spammy, I'd like to do a little blatant self promotion while I'm discussing my site... if you are planning on buying anything through Amazon.com, please do it through my site. It helps buy diapers for my 3 month old!All feedback and comments are welcomed!
| | new site!!! learn to books-teach yourself to do anything! | | Everyone, I would like to tell you a little bit about the new site that was launched recently. It's called Learn To Books, www.learntobooks.co.uk
and it pretty much does what it says on the box. If you're someone who likes to teach yourself how to do new things, like learn a different language, or, I dunno, learn how to write poetry, then you might want to check it out.How it works is, the website has many categories, and within those categories there are subcategories, and you choose the area you want to learn, and you can then see loads of top books from that area. www.learntobooks.co.uk has basically taken out the hassle for you, so you don't need to spend ages online trying to find the right kind of book for your changing needs. It's also just a simple Amazon transaction, so you get the security of buying from a leading online merchant. There will be new categories to follow, and if there's something you can't find you can always use the search bars on the page to look things up. Or send an email and request a particular type of book. It's about time everything was in one place. Now you really CAN teach yourself to do anything....
