Check it out and tell me what you think. I think I might have found a sweet site for everyone to talk about if there not doing it already.Beatmastaz.com - This site is BEAST!!!! It has poets, vocalists, producers, dj's, and more. You get to listen to all these people plus let your own artistic voice be heard. People please tell me about this site. I can't believe I have not come across it earlier. FLstudiosamples.com - Now this one is really cool too because you get like free things if you are starting out in music like drum kits and stuff. I would like to make a track of my own one day and its cool to get stuff for free when you can you know?

| | mood music | | I don't know if this happens to but it does to me. At the moment as every year it is exam and festival time. As an accompanist my husband is asked to accompany many young singers and instrumentalists as they rehearse their music for the exam or festival, thus I hear many songs and themes I don't often hear. There are some that bring back long dormant memories like "I feel pretty" from "My Fair Lady" brings back my mum (now dead) because she was asked to sing it as part of a Mothers' Union choir and she thought it an inapropriate song. There are many songs and themes that bring memories and many return at this time of the year. How about you? Do you associate themes and songs with memories? If so what? I also experience what I call 'virus' tunes and I won't name any because they stick for days. Do you experience this a tune or song that sticks in your brain for days? How do you deal with it? For me, not very well hence my not nameing any!:( | |

| | | music triggers people emotionally. | | have u ever been home mad at someone because of what they did, you would put on a song that will turn your mood into sorrow and you start to go through tears.now lets say you are at a night club getting you dance on then this rowdy song comes on then people want to start jumping around pushing and shoving, then fight breakout, what do you all think. | |

I love old school music like Grandmaster Flash, Chaka Kahn, Evelyn Champagne King, all types of 70's music. I love some rock n roll. I love AC DC. I love the spinners. Barry Manilow, yes I am a fanilow!lol I love to be able to listen to a medley mixture of all of these. Its funny because my daughter steals my MP3 player just to listen to my choices. It cracks me up when Im cooking dinner and I hear her singing along to Meatloaf or Journey. If I listen to certain songs it literally puts me in a better frame of mind. How bout you? | | What Does Music Do For You? | | I am one of those people, who really does enjoy listening to music, when I am in the bath/shower, or cleaning, or sitting in the garden, or even driving. I just think it's nice to have some kind of background music to listen to whilst you are doing things around the house. I prefer it to the TV. I love the new kind of stereos that have mp3 capability to them, so I can burn a CD with hundreds of songs and play it on my stereo, knowing that I am not going to be hearing the same song over and over. I guess the music that I enjoy listening to would have to be pop, and stuff like that.... whether it be pop music from the 70's or the more recent stuff... it just seems nice to be able to get on with every day chores, and sing along to some pop lol.So what does music do for you and do you have a favourite type of music that you like to listen to?it? For me, not very well hence my not nameing any!:( | |
